One of the underlying software libraries, Insurge, is designed to aggregate social data from a repository and among participating libraries. That functionality is still not ready, but it’s a major strategic element of the project.

Do the multiple libraries that have now deployed SOPAC2 share aggregated ’social’ user data like tags between them? Or does each library has it’s own seperate tag (etc) silo? I’ve thought (not alone) for a while that tags especially will need different libraries to aggregate together to get the critical mass to start being ’socially’ useful.
