Great news if you’re thinking about SOPAC but don’t have the expertise in-house to pull it off: Craftyspace has announced that they are now offering SOPAC integration with their YourLibrarySite product. Their first client? Palos Verdes Library District.

That is awesome! It must be so exciting for you to see something you worked so hard on benefiting other libraries like that, especially when it means that they don’t need a programmer on staff to implement it. :)
Yes indeed! What Craftyspace is doing is actually very much in line with what I had hoped would happen. While it’s actually a fairly straightforward install process, you still need someone who knows how to use Linux and OS tools. Many libraries just don’t have that. Having someone to manage that part of the process is a comfort.
