Thank-you Cindi.

I find that after an intense conference like ALA, I need at least a few days to decompress and digest the entire experience. But one thing I am always reminded of during these events is that these social connections are so vital to sustaining our ongoing need to do what we do.

This is an absolutely brilliant post, John. Somehow, you've made the internet poignant.

Today has been weird for me; I'm sitting in my office trying to concentrate on work and failing spectacularly. I met so many wonderful people at ALA and have been fascinated that the conference tide is still riding high because I'm able to connect with these folks online. Today's normal social catchup has sharply underscored the humanity of our online endeavors. It's all about connection, though I have not said so as eloquently as you have here.
