What was lacking for me with OPACs is finally coming (or is here, depending on where you are) and that is knowing MORE about the records (books). Now the OPAC can perhaps help us browse the virtual shelves better. We can see the covers, read snippets, read reviews, etc. This is better than the old card catalogues and better than browsing the shelves. Our ability to find is enhanced. It has taken us too many years to get to this point.
