Try this…

I love Dion Hinchcliffe’s pragmatic approach to Web 2.0. His latest post is an honest look at the current state of Web 2.0.

Read this excerpt and try replacing the word “Web” with “Library”:

A lot of smart, passionate folks have weighed in and the consensus, at least in my mind, clearly points to Web 2.0’s promise and value. I myself come in on the side that as a complex and subtle set of ideas, Web 2.0 continues to be extensively misunderstood yet a vital touchstone for the future of the Web.

Ironically, one of the major misunderstandings of Library 2.0 is the perception that it’s Web 2.0 technologies adapted for libraries (most likely due to its nomenclature).

Happy holidays!
